Arbour-Style Birthday Greetings

This gorgeous and smartly fulfilled project was kindly contributed to our gallery by Pamela Denton. Pamela, thank you!!!

As you may see, Pamela used a couple of embroidery designs from Rose Heaven collection, along with lettering and stylish outer frame design, to make two stylish greeting cards.

There are two interesting issues about these cards, besides the fact that they're just tastefully made:

1. The card base consists of paper.

2. The designs and lettering are applied over, as applique, and therefore they stand out and look extremely dimensional.

Here are a few words directly from the author, describing the process:

First, I stitch the flower or other design on a layer of synthetic fabric. I use mostly "crystal organza" and WSF (water soluble film). I then wash dry and press the design before burning around the outline with a fine tipped soldering iron. For these cards, I digitized a trellis, which again was stitched and treated in the same way as the flower design. I burnt in and around the trellis holes and stuck this background onto the card, and then stuck the flower design on top, giving a 3D effect. I have used a number of the ROSE HEAVEN designs for cards, as they are particularly suitable for using in this way.

NOTE: A well ventilated room is essential when using a soldering iron on fabrics.

We hope that you like these cards like we do :o) Also, be sure to send your projects over, and take advantage of our "Projects Club".

Preparing to Christmas in August!

We've prepared a new Christmas collection, and hope that you will love it. We did our best to make it the most colorful and festive.

The set features extremely elegant shapes with Poinsettia flowers, golden curls, pine greens and pine cones. Very beautiful for anything Christmas!
The new "Poinsettia Gold" set perfectly matches the "Poinsettia Lace" collection and will look great on "Medallion Tree Skirt" and it's matching Tabletopper.
Visit the New Items for Embroidery page to see the latest stuff we get, and make available for you.
To completely stock up with supplies to stitch a "Poinsettia Gold Tree Skirt and Tabletopper" project, you only need to get some embroidery thread. We've prepared a combo thread kit that includes all necessary colors of polyester & metallic thread, to embroider the new Poinsettia Gold Set.

New Bindweed Collections

New Bindweed Accents set includes 11 elegant designs, decorated with bindweed flowers. Each design features a useful shape - these are corners, borders, swags and other stuff, that just asks to be used on classic table linens and fashion accessories.

To compliment this collection, we've also made an initials font with bindweed. The letters are about 3.9" height, great for monogramming!

The new embroidery collections, are designed and compiled by us especially for a new line of embroidery blanks - Oatmeal Hemstitched Table Lines.

They come in extremely pleasant color, called "Oatmeal". This neutral color, like the classic white, goes well with almost any color of embroidery thread.

These table blanks both look great in any environment, and are super suitable for embroidery, due to their 55% linen, 45% cotton composition. A runner, placemats, cocktail and dinner napkins are available.
